Love you Ghini for the beta :)

“On your knees… You shall be… On your knees…”

Clark paused outside Lex’s den and blinked in confusion.

“Cos I want you… on your knees…”

Yes, that was definitely Lex singing.

“You shall be… on your knees… And I need you… on your knees…”

Not that it was a problem per se, Lex had a good voice. It was just the song! More specifically the lyrics and the images they conjured up. Clark swallowed hard, adjusted his crotch and peered hesitantly through the door.

“You shall be…” Lex was dancing in the middle of the room in *jeans* and no shirt. “On your knees…” Oh crap. Clark pulled his t-shirt down over his now uncomfortably tight crotch and pushed the door further open.

Lex twisted to the music. “Cos I want you… on your knees… you shall be… on your knees.”

“Uh, Lex?” Clark ventured hesitantly.

“Playing with fire, lust in you… oh,” Lex paused briefly. “Clark.” He grinned and danced lithely towards Clark.

Clark stared. Lex was glistening with sweat, pale skin gleaming in the dim light. His eyes were very slightly glazed, but glittering with suggestion.

“Reflecting the flames in your eyes…” Lex continued singing but his full intensity was turned to Clark. “Sex and pain insane…” Lex licked his lips and Clark gulped, taking a step back.

“Where ya going, Clark?” Lex purred, “Come dance.”

“To this?” Clark raised an eyebrow. Now Lex was closer, he could smell the scotch and he was less worried about Lex’s appearance and actions.

“Hell yes,” Lex grinned. “… Bound and tied…” He moved even closer, clamping a hand on Clark’s arm, “On your knees…” he whispered silkily.

“Oh God,” Clark whimpered. If he hadn’t been turned on before, and he really, really had been, this was his limit. His erection strained against the zipper of his jeans almost painfully and he was shaking.

“C’mon Clark,” Lex chuckled. He turned awkwardly, still holding Clark’s arm and tripped, falling on his ass. Clark’s eyes widened in shock, especially when Lex looked up at him and started to laugh.

“Fuck, your face!” Lex panted, “What, Clark? Never seen anyone drunk before?”

“Uh sure,” Clark shook his head watching Lex perform a neat backwards roll and drag himself to his feet.

Lex chuckled at him, “Well, I guess the sexy thing didn’t work, how about the bad drunk?”

“What?!” Clark exclaimed. Most of his circulation had already settled in his groin and the cryptic comment was completely beyond his comprehension, especially as he was a little distracted by the swaying of Lex’s ass.

“Clark,” Lex turned back to face him, “On your knees,” he sang, and raised an eyebrow. “Getting the picture?”

Clark took another involuntary step, this time forwards.

Lex smirked, “Or maybe…” Before Clark could move, Lex was on his knees in front of him with a hand working its way up his thigh.

“Oh yes,” Lex chuckled, “My, who’s a big boy?”

Clark yelped as the hand settled on his cock and squeezed. “Lex!”

Lex looked up at him, eyes less glazed, but still glittering with serious intent. “You don’t want me on my knees?”

“I…” Clark swallowed, God, did he ever! But how was he supposed to think rationally with a half naked Lex kneeling in front of him, rubbing his straining erection? Half his brain, or an equally important part of him, was screaming at him to let Lex do whatever the fuck he wanted; the other, more rational, half was screaming at him that he couldn’t take advantage of Lex like this.

“Please, Lex, I…”

“Want me to suck your cock?” Lex leered. “Of course you do, I’m damn good at it.”

“Oh shit!” Clark exclaimed when Lex leaned forward to mouth his erection through his jeans. That really hadn’t helped. He backed up, Lex crawling with him, until he hit a wall. “Lex, you, we…”

Too late, his zipper was undone; Lex was already working his jeans down and Clark gave up whatever fight had been in him. “Lex…” he hissed as his friend’s hand wrapped round his now exposed cock, “Oh God!”

Lex smirked again and leaned forward, licking over the tip of his erection. Clark bit back a curse and tried not to punch his fingers through the wall. Lex’s tongue was hot and wet and all his remaining faculties narrowed to focus on the slick slide around his shaft.

Lex pulled back and Clark whimpered. “Always good for something,” Lex muttered, then swallowed Clark whole.

Clark knew he hadn’t been meant to hear the comment, but he couldn’t ignore it, or the bitterness in Lex’s tone.

“Wait, Lex,” he ground out, trying to regain a measure of control. Lex ignored him. “Lex! Stop!”

Pulling back, Lex looked up at him, his expression a combination of shock, hurt and anger. “Why?”

“You mean other than the fact that you’re drunk?” Clark asked softly.

Lex snorted, “Oh please, you’ve never seen me drunk if you think this is drunk.”

“Lex, we’re not doing this.” Clark struggled to get his cock back into his jeans.

“I see,” Lex got to his feet slowly, a sneer curling his lip, “Can’t take anything from me, can you? Not good enough, is that it? My mouth isn’t wholesome enough for Kent dick?”

Clark swallowed against the hurt. “Lex, that’s not it, and you know it,” he said quietly.

“Oh really?” Lex stalked to the bar, flicked off the music and poured himself a large scotch, consuming it in one noisy gulp. “You’re so different from everyone else? Give me a break. Everyone wants something, especially from me. It’s what I’m good for. But fine, you don’t want it, just fuck off.”

“Lex…” Clark tried to get through to his friend.

His friend walked back over to him and shoved him hard. “I said *fuck off*, Kent.”

“Lex don’t, please,” Clark begged, but Lex’s face was completely blank, eyes shuttered against him, hard and cold. Sighing, Clark moved to leave, “Don’t even think this is all I’m going to say about this, Lex,” he said firmly. Lex crossed his arms over his chest and raised an eyebrow, lip curling again almost in disgust.

Biting his lip hard and against everything he was feeling, Clark left. He couldn’t talk to Lex while he was drunk, but he sure as hell wasn’t going to leave it there. Surely his friend knew by now, all Clark wanted was friendship. Hoped for more, maybe, but not like this, not if Lex thought he was paying off some debt, or that he had to somehow buy Clark’s friendship.

Groaning, Lex peeled one eye open and stared balefully at the gap in the curtains that let light stream into his room. His head felt like it had a vice around it, but unfortunately the immense amount of scotch he’d consumed after Clark had left hadn’t erased the memory of what had happened.

How could he have been so fucking stupid? Why did he have to push things? Clark would have eventually asked him for what he wanted, and Lex would have given him anything, and happily, but no. He’d had to push it, and naturally push away the closest thing to a real friend he’d ever had.

Oh, he had no doubt Clark did think of him as a friend in some ways, but what other reason could a smart, good looking kid like Clark want to hang around with someone like him for, if not for something Lex could do for him? There was always a price to be paid. And just for once, Lex would have been more than willing to pay. And just for friendship too.

“God, you’re a fucking loser, Alexander,” he muttered, rubbing his face.

“Is that what you think?”

Lex managed not to jump, startled by the sudden comment. He sat up quickly, blinking at the sight of Clark sitting comfortably in his armchair across the room. Then he had to struggle not to leap across the room and beg for forgiveness. Luthors didn’t beg, and certainly not for forgiveness.

“What do you care what I think?” Lex asked flippantly, hoping Clark would just leave and he wouldn’t get any lectures before losing his best friend. Clark made a frustrated noise and sat up straighter.

“You really are fucked in the head, aren’t you?” Clark sighed, shaking his head a little.

Lex gaped, not only at Clark’s language, but how calm he seemed. “I beg your pardon?!” he exclaimed, “Anyway, what are you doing in my room?”

Getting up, Clark crossed the room and sat on the side of the bed. Lex tried not to edge away… or was it edging closer he was having a problem with? Because Clark smelt damn good and… fuck! He really didn’t need a hard on for this conversation.

“I came over as soon as I finished my chores, because we need to talk,” Clark replied, staring at him solemnly.

Lex froze. No! No goddamned lecture! “I thought you’d made your position perfectly clear last night,” he snapped.

Clark sighed heavily, “No, you just made assumptions and wouldn’t listen to me. Of course I care about you, you’re my best friend, remember?” Shifting, Clark reached over, briefly touching his arm. Lex sucked in a quiet breath, trying to ease the tension holding his body rigid.

“You don’t have to buy that, you don’t owe me anything, you don’t even have to consider me *your* best friend,” Clark stopped for a moment and the bitter little laugh he gave made Lex frown worriedly. “You’re my best friend and I’ll be here for you. Do you really think I could take advantage of the fact you were drunk?”

Lex looked away thoughtfully. He really meant it. Clark really wanted nothing more than… to be there, and for *him*! And despite how much he’d wanted it last night, Clark had been honourable enough not to just take, which Lex was almost certain he’d have done if the positions had been reversed.

“Why not? I would have,” he asked quietly.

“No, you wouldn’t,” Clark smiled gently.

Lex laughed, shaking his head, “Why do you believe in me, farm boy?”

Clark took a deep breath and Lex raised an eyebrow. Shrugging one shoulder a little tensely, Clark finally replied, “Because I love you.”

Lex blinked, freezing for a brief second, not even breathing, until he realised that his physical reaction was making Clark withdraw. “Wait,” he said, grabbing Clark’s arm.

“No,” Clark shook his head, obviously upset for some reason. He pulled free and stood up, “God, Lex, I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean…”

Before Lex could do or say anything to stop him, the younger man had run for it. Lex flopped back down onto the bed with an exasperated sigh. How in hell could Clark not expect him to react in shock to a statement like that?!

To hear his fondest wish, to hear the words he could *never* have expected to hear… how could he have reacted any differently? God only knew what was going on in Clark’s head to make him panic and run like that.

Well, now it was his turn to seek out his friend and talk. Find out what was wrong, and hopefully not mess up the most important friendship in his life, let alone possible relationship. Lex smiled ruefully, his heart was still beating fit to burst, as it had ever since Clark had told Lex he loved him, now from nerves, but there was no way he was letting this go.

Oh God, oh God, oh God. Clark thought if he was human, he’d probably be hyperventilating right now. What a stupid thing to say! Except, until Lex had frozen, Clark had been almost certain that it was the right thing to say.

Then Lex’s reaction had made him think about the whole situation. After saying that all he wanted was to be there for Lex, to then dump something like that in his lap! God, how selfish was he?

Clark sat down heavily and put his head in his hands. Familiar steps heading his way startled him. Surely it couldn’t be…

“Clark?”

Clark took a deep breath and looked up, “What do you want?”

“I came to find out if what you said is true,” Lex said quietly. He wasn’t really looking at Clark, which was kind of worrying, Lex was usually pretty direct.

“Why?” Clark wrapped his arms round his chest defensively. He didn’t really want to be having this conversation, it hurt too much right now.

“I need to know, and why you ran out.” Lex half-smiled, but it didn’t make Clark feel any better.

“Isn’t it obvious?” he snapped.

“Not really.”

“Your reaction…” Clark started.

“What reaction? You didn’t give me time to react.” Lex sounded incredulous.

“C’mon Lex, you were horrified,” Clark winced at the memory of Lex’s expression.

Lex snorted, “Now who’s making assumptions, didn’t I tell you to wait?”

“I’m supposed to obey orders now, am I?” Clark couldn’t help spitting out, even though he knew it was childish.

Shaking his head, Lex walked further into the loft and sat down on the couch. “Oh Clark, don’t. Okay? You don’t dump something like that in someone’s lap and not expect them to be shocked.”

“Oh great,” Clark huffed, trying not to react to Lex’s closeness. He really just wanted to ask Lex to make it all alright again, “I shocked you now.”

“Clark! Will you stop overreacting long enough that I can tell you I love you too?”

Clark’s heart skipped a beat and he gasped, absolutely stunned. “You… love me?”

Lex swallowed audibly and nodded, “Clark, yes, you shocked me, because I never expected you to feel the same way, especially after last night. I love you and I’m sorry.”

“Why?” Clark asked softly.

Lex shrugged, “For the way I behaved, and for my stupid reaction earlier.”

“I think we’re both guilty of that, Lex,” Clark smiled ruefully.

Lex sighed in relief, “So, we’re okay?”

“Yeah,” Clark grinned, “We’re good.”

“Friends or…” Lex trailed off. Clark couldn’t remember ever hearing his friend sound so uncertain before.

“Well, I sorta liked where we were heading last night,” Clark ducked his head, feeling himself flushing.

Lex grinned widely. “Really?” he purred. “So did I.”

“But,” Clark leaned closer, flushing more, “I really, *really* want to kiss you.”

Lex cupped his cheek, stroking it with his thumb, and bent his head to brush his mouth over Clark’s. With a quiet moan, Clark pressed up harder, parting his lips under a gentle swipe of tongue. Lex explored his mouth slowly, Clark sucking on his tongue until, tentatively, he began his own exploration.

It was Lex’s turn to moan and the kiss got harder, a lot needier as Clark pulled Lex closer, hands sweeping over his friend’s body almost desperately. He’d wanted this, wanted Lex for so long. His groin was tight and aching, the length of his erection straining against his zipper and Clark could feel Lex slowly grinding his own cock against his hip.

Suddenly Lex pulled back and Clark whimpered in protest.

“It’s okay, Clark,” Lex said with a soft smile. Then he dropped off the couch and onto his knees in front of Clark, parting his legs. Clark whimpered again as Lex’s hands slid up his thighs to meet at his fly. “Let’s get back to where we were,” Lex whispered.

“Wait,” Clark managed to say over the shrieking of his body to let Lex do it and do it *now*. “I…”

“Clark, I know,” Lex whispered. “I love you, I want to do this.”

Clark nodded. Good, as long as they were clear and Lex knew this wasn’t about anything but love. “Please,” he whispered back.

Lex grinned and undid his button and fly, carefully hitching his jeans and boxers down to free his cock. The shock of cold air was soon erased by the much more pleasant shock of Lex’s hand on him, stroking firmly. “Oh God,” Clark moaned.

He found his eyes rolling back and his head going too, but forced himself to keep watching. Lex’s head was getting closer and the warm brush of breath sent tingles down his spine. “Lex,” Clark whispered.

“Shh,” Lex hushed him just as he licked the tip of Clark’s cock. Clark’s hands clenched in the cushions of the couch and his hips jerked up. Lex gripped Clark’s hips tightly and pushed him back before sliding his mouth all the way down Clark’s shaft.

“Fuck!” Clark shouted, then quickly bit his lip hard; he didn’t need to be drawing attention to them. But it was just so… God, he could never have expected it to feel so amazing; Lex’s mouth was so hot and wet and he was sucking and licking and *swallowing*. Clark knew he wasn’t going to last long at all, it felt like Lex was sucking his brains out of him through his cock.

“Lex, gonna,” Clark started. The pleasure in his groin intensified and shot through his whole body and he came, still aware enough to be amazed by the feel of Lex swallowing. “Oh God,” he whispered as he shuddered through his climax.

@>*~

Lex was in heaven. Who knew come could actually taste good, not bitter. One hand was down his own pants, working his dick hard, he needed to come. It hit him hard and he pulled away from Clark so as not to bite down on him, dropping his forehead onto Clark’s thigh as he jerked quietly.

When he’d calmed, Lex turned his head so that his cheek was resting on Clark’s leg and he was slightly startled when a large warm hand cupped the back of his head and stroked gently.

“Thank you,” Clark whispered.

Lex smiled and sat up, “You’re more than welcome, lover.” He grinned even wider at Clark’s shy smile and bright red cheeks.

“Best friends and lovers,” Clark sighed, “It’s perfect.”

Lex pursed his lips thoughtfully. No matter how much he loved Clark, he was by no means perfect and he didn’t want Clark to have any illusions. “Clark,” he started seriously.

“No,” Clark interrupted him.

Lex looked back at Clark in shock, “What?”

“Don’t, just don’t even think of putting yourself down.” Clark leaned forward and slid his hand round the back of Lex’s neck, “You’re perfect for me,” he whispered.

Lex was shocked to feel his cheeks heating up with a light flush, but ignored it in favour of closing the miniscule gap and kissing his lover.

“Okay?” Clark whispered as he pulled back.

“Okay,” Lex agreed, unable to help smiling. If Clark thought he was perfect, who was he to complain? “Clark, do you think your parents would object to your staying the night tonight?”

Clark grinned widely at him, “I’ll ask Mom, I’m sure it’ll be fine.”

“Good, we’re going to need a whole night for what I have planned,” Lex chuckled at Clark’s dazed expression and kissed him gently.

“A wh-whole night?” Clark stuttered.

“Mmm hmm.”

Clark looked thoughtful all of a sudden, “Okay, good, because there are some things you need to know.”

“Yeah,” Lex sighed, while he’d never experienced it, Lex understood that a relationship with secrets was not going to last and he was determined that he was going to do this right, “Same here.”

Clark wrapped his arms round him and hugged tightly, “It’ll all be okay, you’ll see, I love you.”

Feeling comforted, Lex nodded, “Yeah I know. I love you too.” Hopefully what he was going to tell Clark wouldn’t change that, and looking into Clark’s eyes, for the first time, he was confident it wouldn’t.

end.
